Abstract: The ever-changing environment and complex combat missions create new demands for the formation of mission groups of unmanned combat agents. This study aims to address the problem of dynamic construction of mission groups under new requirements. Agents are heterogeneous, and a method must dynamically form new groups in circumstances where missions are constantly being explored. In our method, a strategy that combines s and response threshold models is proposed to dynamically adjust the members of the mission group and adapt to the needs of new missions. The degree of matching between the mission requirements and the group's capabilities, and the communication cost of are used as indicators to evaluate the quality of the group. The response threshold method and the ant colony algorithm are selected as the comparison algorithms in the simulations. The results show that the grouping scheme obtained by the proposed method is superior to those of the comparison methods.

A low-overhead asynchronous consensus framework for distributed bundle adjustment

Zhuo-hao Liu, Chang-yu Diao, Wei Xing, Dong-ming Lu,roadliu@zju.edu.cn,dcy@zju.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2020, Volume 21, Issue 10,   Pages 1413-1534 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900451

Abstract: Generally, the (DBA) method uses multiple worker nodes to solve the bundle adjustment problems and overcomes the computation and memory storage limitations of a single computer. However, the performance considerably degrades owing to the introduced by the additional block partitioning step and synchronous waiting. Therefore, we propose a low- consensus framework. A based asynchronous method is proposed to early achieve consensus with respect to the faster worker nodes to avoid waiting for the slower ones. A scene summarization procedure is designed and integrated into the block partitioning step to ensure that clustering can be performed on the small summarized scene. Experiments conducted on public datasets show that our method can improve the worker node utilization rate and reduce the block partitioning time. Also, sample applications are demonstrated using our large-scale culture heritage datasets.

Fog Computing-Based Firewall in Information-Centric Networking

Liu Yi, Li Jianhua

Strategic Study of CAE 2020, Volume 22, Issue 6,   Pages 128-135 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2020.06.017

Abstract:

The information-centric network (ICN) provides network protocols oriented to information itself, including a content-centric subscription mechanism and semantic-led naming, routing, and caching strategies. It has shown great potential in solving attacks on current IP address based network. This paper aims to propose a smart firewall model for ICN, and to build a firewall based on a semantic inference algorithm to isolate content. The ICN firewall module uses the fog computing paradigm to sense content threats from ICN, and generates customized filtering strategies for different contents. On the basis of analyzing the types of ICN attacks and the development of the fog computing architecture in ICN, this article introduces the fog-based ICN firewall model from three aspects: the overall structure of content defense, the host-oriented defense fog model, and the network-oriented defense fog model. This article also proposes an ICN-oriented detection and defense mechanism in order to alleviate the interest flooding attacks. Finally, by building the ndnSIM network simulation platform, this article evaluates the ICN cache hit rate and network communication delay, and verifies the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed fog computing-based ICN firewall module and defense algorithm.

ENABLING CROP DIVERSIFICATION TO SUPPORT TRANSITIONS TOWARD MORE SUSTAINABLE EUROPEAN AGRIFOOD SYSTEMS

Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering 2021, Volume 8, Issue 3,   Pages 474-480 doi: 10.15302/J-FASE-2021406

Abstract:

European cropping systems are often characterized by short rotations or even monocropping, leading to environmental issues such as soil degradation, water eutrophication, and air pollution including greenhouse gas emissions, that contribute to climate change and biodiversity loss. The use of diversification practices (i.e., intercropping, multiple cropping including cover cropping and rotation extension), may help enhance agrobiodiversity and deliver ecosystem services while developing new value chains. Despite its benefits, crop diversification is hindered by various technical, organizational, and institutional barriers along value chains (input industries, farms, trading and processing industries, retailers, and consumers) and within sociotechnical systems (policy, research, education, regulation and advisory). Six EU-funded research projects have joined forces to boost crop diversification by creating the European Crop Diversification Cluster (CDC). This Cluster aggregates research, innovation, commercial and citizen-focused partnerships to identify and remove barriers across the agrifood system and thus enables the uptake of diversification measures by all European value-chain stakeholders. The CDC will produce a typology of barriers, develop tools to accompany actors in their transition, harmonize the use of multicriteria assessment indicators, prepare policy recommendations and pave the way for a long-term network on crop diversification.
